Requested supplies include beds, blankets, ice, non-perishable food, water and power banks. Officials are asking residents to only donate what is being requested by the government of the Bahamas. For the full list of requested items, click here.
Initial drop off locations are:
Miami-Dade County Main Library, 101 W. Flagler St., Miami.
Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW First St., Miami.
Joseph Caleb Center. 5400 NW 22nd Ave., Miami.
Office of Emergency Management Warehouse, 8008 NW 14th St., Doral.
Those making donations at the Stephen P. Clark Center in downtown Miami will have their parking validated at the drop-off point on the first floor. All other drop-off locations have free parking available.
CITY OF MIAMI IS #BAHAMASTRONGThe city of Miami has created 16 drop-off locations, including fire stations, to collect donations such as water, canned goods and diapers. Tropic Ocean Airways, a Fort Lauderdale-based private charter company, has volunteered to fly the supplies to the Bahamas on Wednesday, if the weather allows it, according to Miami Commissioner Ken Russell

City of Miami Beach Relieft Efforts
We recommend you drop off supplies between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. at any Fire Station. The City will assure the supplies make it to the planes that the County has coordinated with for delivery to the Bahamas. The list of supplies and the address of our Fire Stations are below.
What to Donate
Below is a list of some of the supplies requested by the government of the Bahamas.
- Potable/purified water
- Water bladders/containers
- Water purification kits
- Non-perishable food items
- First aid items (sterile bandages/gauze, medical tape, etc)
- Hygiene kits (diapers, baby formula, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, etc)
- Flashlights and batteries
- Insect repellent
- Portable radios
- Cleaning supplies (bleach, garbage bags, brooms/mops, etc)
- Plastic tarpaulins
- Debris removal tools (shovels, axes, etc.

Supplies can be dropped at any of the four Miami Beach Fire Department Stations located around the City. Drop-off hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the rest of the week.

The World Central Kitchen’s “Chef Relief Team” is in the Bahamas and preparing to fly food and water out to Abaco and Grand Bahama Island by Monday night or Tuesday morning to help those affected by Hurricane Dorian.

The Red Cross’ Bahama Branch is requesting help for its Dorian-relief program. Supplies include canned goods, water, toiletries, bedding and batteries. Monetary donations can be made through bahamasredcross.org

Operation Helping Hands |

United Way of Miami-Dade and the Miami Herald/el Nuevo Herald have activated Operation Helping Hands to support response, relief and recovery efforts.
All of the funds raised through Operation Helping Hands will go directly to help people affected by Hurricane Dorian.

The City of Coral Gables is Collecting Supplies to Help the Bahamas Recover
During times of need, the Johnson & Wales community comes together - the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian left our Wildcat family in need of help - particularly those from the Bahamas. Your contribution to The JWU Dorian Relief Scholarship Fund will help students pursue a meaningful education.
